The First Responder Community (FRC) is an Australian-based not-for-profit organization. It has been established as a virtual gateway dedicated to enlisting the support of organizations and individuals to financially support the five categories of frontline First Responders (Military, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Paramedics, and Rescuers) by fundraising to supplement their rescue and medical equipment requirements so as to increase their functionality. More than 80% of First Responders are volunteers and each individual donates more than $15,000 of there own money, time and resources to provide the nation with protection against natural and man made disasters, accidents and injuries. They are also support thousands of other community charities in their fundraising activities outside of the own fundraising.
Federal, State and Local governments are constantly pressured to spend more and more of welfare and infrastructure projects whilst fire, rescue and medical equipment expenditure has been reduced to a meager 0.024% (or less than 24 cents in every $100 of Government income) over the past many years. What they do is dangerous and often thankless and forgotten and in many cases they work with outdated and inefficient equipment subsequently reducing their ability to save more lives and property. They need all the help they can get on the backline to provide them with protective clothing, equipment and vehicles.
We are looking for individuals who are experienced or willing to volunteer and gain experience in leading or being part of a team to design, develop and promote a variety of fundraising activities and events for and on behalf of the First Responder Community.
